January 13, 2010
Board Members Present: Jim Landwehr, Diane McLeod, Hollie Stark, Dan and Michelle Rehbein, Tom and Darla Bruna, Kristy Ehlers, Michelle Huffaker, Bill and Deb Henkel, Amy Nelson, Randy and Jackie Queen, Kevin and Jodi Bernasek, Deb Quirk, Don and Leannette and Heyen, Shari Rayburn, Kim and Mike Reed, Jim and Patti Schuyler, Mark Keller and Lisa Jurrens
President Diane McLeod called the meeting to order at 8:33 p.m. in the Adams Central High School.
Minutes for December were presented motion made by Deb Henkel to approve, second by Randy Queen, motion carried. Minutes approved as submitted.
Treasurer Report: Mike Reed submitted a treasurer report. Mike is waiting to hear back from Gaylin Prior about auditing the books. Mark Keller motioned to approve the treasurer report, second made by Dan Rehbein, motion carried.
Deb Quirk was introduced to the board. She is treasurer of the Adams Central Schools Foundation. They are interested in enhancing the relationship between Alumni and the school. They would like to meet with the Alumni Tournament Committee to seek out ways of increasing opportunities for the Alumni to come together. Deb also made the board aware that the Patriot Pride Card would be ending. Last year $5000 was split between the Foundation and the Booster Board.
Several Committees gave the following reports:
Membership: No report.
Program Sponsors: No report.
Publicity: Soup Supper ads were placed in the papers and on the bank sign.
Sales Table/Brick Sales: Sold one brick. Brick information will go out to the Senior Class and the Alumni at the Alumni Tournament. Patriot Card will not be continuing. There are 2 more games. New items are being added to the sales table. $1700 was deposited. Looking into getting yard flags.
Booster Buttons: Booster buttons caught up waiting on the Junior High Boys Basketball pictures.
Computer/Technology: Mike is working with IP provider with fixing picture. Need to get Alumni Tournament forms on website.
Golf Tournament: No report
Soup Supper: Supper is scheduled for January 16, 2010. Short 4 pies and 4 cakes. Needs help making sandwiches Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m.
Huskerland Wrestling Tournament - Patriot Parents are doing the engraving on the medals as in the past. February 27, 2010
Alumni Concessions - No Report.
Alumni Tournament - Committee meeting January 20, 2010 at 7:00p.m. Will be deciding if we will give players a t-shirt or use the money for an alumni mixer.
Alumni Concessions - No report.
Athletic Banquet - No speaker located as of yet.
Football Audio on hold until March.
New Business
Diane McLeod asked the board to start thinking about new board members for the next year.
Mr. Landwehr stated that Doniphan had posters up at their school advertising the Soup Supper. He further stated that starting next month he will be bringing requests before the board.
Beyke Signs are doing band banner.
Being no further business to come before the club President Diane McLeod adjourned the meeting at 9:03 p.m.
