Welcome to the Doniphan-Trumbull School Website

The Doniphan-Trumbull Public School District is a rural school district serving the communities of Doniphan and Trumbull in central Nebraska.  These small towns are located approximately 12 miles apart and within 15 miles from the cities of Hastings and Grand Island.  Many of the students come from local farms, but a significant number have parents working in neighboring cities.  Approximately 79% of the students graduating go on to higher education.

Mission Statement:

To provide students with the opportunity to develop the skills and attitudes required to function effectively in a democratic society.

Goal:

Our five year evaluation cycle for the district moves into Phase I of the North Central Association Process, "making or renewing the commitment".  As we triangulate the districts' past data the continuous process of school improvement begins again.

Our local school improvement steering committee has organized and plans to continue the eight phases of school improvement.

1. Phase I making or renewing the commitment

selecting appropriate goals
5. Phase V developing the school improvement plan
6. Phase VI implementing the school imp. plan
7. Phase VII monitoring the implementation of school imp. plan and documenting student success.
