EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

6-12 Principal                                                                       Frontier Academy (2004-2007)
  • Student and Staff Retention Rate increased by 60%. In 2005, Frontier Academy had a waiting list of over 1,500 and for the first time had a waiting list in the high school.
  • 2006 CSAP resulted in the High School Rating on SAR to go from "Average" to "High" and Individual Growth of students moved 3 levels, the highest in the district.  Meet AYP annually. 
  • Financial Stability in a Charter School is paramount, in 2005 my design allowed this vision to come to fruition.
  • 2006-2007 Frontier Academy became a Pilot School for CDE on Curriculum Alignment and Data Use with State Standards.
K-12 Principal/Athletic Director                                          Elba Public School (1999-2004)
  • 2000-2004 Elba School Portfolio received an "Exemplary Rating" from the Nebraska Department of Education meeting AYP each year.
  • 2002 led a collaborative group of parents and staff to adopt a four-day school week in rural Nebraska leading to $30,000 annual savings. 
  • Presented at Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association "The Four Day School Week" (2004)
9-12 PE & History/Assistant AD                                        Wray High School (1998-99)
  • Developed and implemented curriculum in Life Sports, Team Sports, Strength & Conditioning, PE/Health, Economics, and American History.  Highlights include: Teaching Rappelling, Fly-fishing, Racquetball, and Golf. Responsible for all middle school athletic operations including but not limited to supervision, coordination, transportation, and scheduling of officials.
9-12 Social Studies/Assistant AD                                       Quinter High School (1996-98)
  • Developed and implemented a curriculum in World History, American History, Government, and Economics.  Highlights include: Kansas History Day Project. Coordinated 7-12 extra-curricular activities and athletic events.
